Finnlines reported that it had an excellent summer, between June and August 2025 it presented a 14% increase in the number of private passengers compared to 2024, driven by a 38% increase on its route to Poland (Malmö–Swinoujscie).

The results highlight the strong demand across all services and reflect the positive impact of the new offers and the modernization of the vessels.

“We are delighted with the results and are pleased that our route to Poland, inaugurated in April last year, has been so well received. We see great potential ahead,” stated Marco Palmu, Director of Passenger Services at Finnlines.

Other routes also experienced a notable upturn, including a 19% increase on Naantali–Långnäs–Kapellskär and a 4% growth on both Malmö–Travemünde and Helsinki–Travemünde.

“Since the introduction of our new ships Finnsirius and Finncanopus on the Sweden-Finland service in 2023 and 2024, the passenger experience has greatly improved and we are delighted that more passengers continue to discover it,” added Palmu.

In addition to the modern facilities on the new ships, the route offers a variety of seasonal programs, with activities designed for the autumn holidays or Halloween.
