The first ship-to-ship bunkering at the Le Havre terminal in France took place on 28th August. The bunkering was carried out after the terminal received its LNG-ready certification in June of this year.
The bunkering operation was carried out by the bunkering tanker Gas Agility, which provided 2,400 cubic meters of LNG to the Ro-Ro vessel Lake Travis during a period of 12 hours.
The bunkering operation was successfully completed through the combined efforts of Total Energies, the terminal handlers, Hapora Port teams, the shipping agencies and the respective crews of the vessels.
The LNG-ready certification that was awarded to the terminal attests that it has harmonized its practices to accommodate LNG vessels, and that its safety protocols, procedures, and staff training have all been adapted to meet the required safety standards.
