Five Senses Consulting & Development continues supporting the strategic development of cruises in Agios Nikolaos, Crete, as the destination further strengthens its role within the Eastern Mediterranean cruise market. A recent milestone was the first call of the Celestyal Journey, which marked the consolidation of this destination as a homeport.
The ship operates the seven-day Idyllic Greece itinerary and is scheduled to call at the port 21 more times during the 2026 cruise season, which will extend until November.
With over 1,260 passengers on board, the vessel directly contributes to the local tourism economy, while reinforcing the destination’s growing operational capacity in embarkation and disembarkation services.
This development reflects the ongoing cooperation among local stakeholders, the Port Authority, the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos, and Five Senses Consulting, which has been supporting the destination through cruise strategy, positioning, and stakeholder engagement.
During the vessel’s call, representatives of the destination and local authorities visited the ship and met with the captain, Angelos Vasilakos, and crew members, further strengthening collaboration between the destination and cruise industry partners.
