The sanction on the Northern Star Shipyard, which was added to the OFAC sanctions list in January of this year in connection with Russia, has been lifted.
The US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) had added the Northern Star Shipyard to the sanctions list on January 15, 2025, associating it with a transaction made in 2021.
According to the information published by OFAC today, the shipyard has been removed from the OFAC sanctions list, where it was listed under the names “Northern Star Shipyard Denizcilik Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi”, “Northern Star Shipyard”, “Northern Star Shipyard Denizcilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.”.
It is stated that, within the scope of Northern Star’s compliance policy, it acts in cooperation with the relevant authorities and plans to continue its commercial activities and investment projects without any interruption.
