Marport, one of Turkey’s leading container port operators, has strengthened its strong position in the international maritime sector with a new service. The Levant Express Service (LEX), launched by the world’s leading shipping company Ocean Network Express (ONE), made its first call on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Marport with the service’s first vessel, the SC Houston.

Marport, which is a pioneer in Turkey by operating with 14 STS cranes, has strengthened its strategic role in the global logistics network with its modern infrastructure and high operational capacity. With the addition of the LEX Service to Marport, customers are offered stronger connections and fast, reliable logistics solutions. Within the scope of the new service, direct access will be provided to Southampton, Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Hamburg, which are among the most important ports in Northern Europe.

This strategic step not only increases Marport’s international line diversity but also reinforces Istanbul’s central role in the global trade chain. Thanks to the LEX Service, more effective solutions are provided for Turkey’s foreign trade, while also creating a significant advantage in accessing European markets. Alp Çapa: “We are happy to be the choice of international lines”

Alp Çapa, Vice President of the Arkas Port and Terminal Operations Group, made the following statement regarding the new service: “As Marport, we are happy to be a port preferred by international lines. Thanks to the Levant Express Service, launched in cooperation with ONE, we offer our customers a broader service network and fast, reliable logistics solutions. This new line strengthens Marport’s strategic role in regional trade while also contributing to our country’s strength in global logistics.”
