On June 30, the 9000DWT special liquid cargo ship (MW518-6) built by Mawei Shipbuilding under Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. commenced construction smoothly.

This type of vessel has an overall length of 119.8 meters, a design speed of 13 knots, and a endurance of up to 12,000 nautical miles. The ship adopts a new low-resistance hull form and is equipped with multiple energy-saving devices, placing its energy efficiency and emission reduction levels at the forefront of the industry, and it can meet the IMO Tier III nitrogen oxide emission standards. The cargo tanks are specially designed to safely carry various liquid cargoes such as asphalt, refined oil with a flash point above 60°C, and Class II chemicals, fully adapting to the diverse needs of customers. In addition, the vessel is equipped with advanced navigation and digital intelligent monitoring systems, significantly enhancing safety control and operational efficiency. It is a modern special vessel with high technical content and strict environmental protection standards.

The project team will strictly follow the production plan, coordinate block construction and material supply, and steadily advance various construction tasks to ensure the orderly connection of each project milestone, laying the foundation for subsequent berth assembly and smooth launching.
