Crystal Serenity will enter dry dock for three weeks in October, where a series of technical upgrades designed to optimize its performance, efficiency, and environmental responsibility will be carried out.
Work on the propulsion system will reinforce the vessel’s operational reliability, while the fin stabilizers will undergo a comprehensive mechanical overhaul to ensure comfort at sea.
The ship will also receive a thorough hull cleaning and repainting, along with various electrical and automation enhancements to modernize onboard systems. New sound and entertainment systems will be installed in the ship’s main public areas, further enhancing the onboard experience.
These improvements aim to maintain the highest operational standards, while also contributing to reduced fuel and water consumption, lower emissions, and minimized environmental impact.
The centerpiece of the project will be refining the onboard experience through various enhancements to the Aquamarine Classic Suite category and several key public spaces.
The dry dock will see a complete renovation of the living room and bathrooms of the Aquamarine Classic suites on Deck 10. Additionally, the corridors on Deck 10 will feature new carpeting and wallpaper.
Also notable is a new pool bar on Deck 12, the Atrium and Crystal Cove will have a more modern layout, the reception area will feature a raised space with a new counter, as well as arrangements in dining and dispersal areas.
“Following the successful dry docking of Crystal Symphony, our work aboard Crystal Serenity is guided, above all, by the passenger experience. These improvements reaffirm our commitment to creating meaningful and unforgettable experiences for our guests at every touchpoint, while ensuring that Crystal Serenity remains as welcoming and enriching as the voyages themselves,” said Bernie Leypold, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations at Crystal.
