Lines, has been selected for the first time as a constituent of the Dow Jones Best in Class World Index , which comprises the top 10% of companies in each industry group worldwide under the Dow Jones Best in Class Indices , one of the world’s leading ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) investment indices. MOL is the only Japanese shipping company to be included in the DJ BIC World.
At the same time, MOL has also been selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Best in Class Asia Pacific Index , which consists of companies from the Asia Pacific region, marking the fourth consecutive year of its inclusion.
The DJ BIC is an ESG investment index published annually by S&P Dow Jones Indices, based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) conducted by S&P Global. The CSA evaluates companies’ ESG initiatives from three perspectives: Environment, Society, and Governance & Economy.
Among companies recognized for particularly strong performance, the top 10% in each industry group are selected for the DJ BIC World. In 2026, 319 companies were selected from 2500 companies with the largest global market capitalization. MOL received especially high scores in areas such as Climate Change, Human Capital Management, and Business Ethics.
