During the event, the President of the Chios Marine Club, Captain Antonis Pitsilos, praised the long-standing work and significant contribution of Mr. Veniamis in strengthening Greek shipping as well as his adherence to the values and traditions of the island.

The honorary plaque to Mr. Theodoros Veniamis was presented by the NASA astrophysicist scientist and former President of the Academy of Athens, Dr. Stamatis Krimizis.
