Timbereye, a logistics platform for the timber and forest products industry, has partnered with technology company Coneksion to strengthen data integration between its systems and global ocean carriers, to improve visibility and automation across maritime transport operations.
Timbereye will use Coneksion’s RAPIDS Data Connectivity service to establish direct digital links with shipping lines including MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, COSCO, OOCL, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, Evergreen, HMM, Yang Ming, ZIM, Wan Hai and PIL.
The integration will cover booking workflows, shipping instructions, verified gross mass (VGM) submissions and acknowledgements, allowing data to flow between ships, carriers and Timbereye’s customers.
Using the platform will remove the requirement for Timbereye to build and maintain multiple EDI or API interfaces in-house, while supporting real-time API-based exchanges with carriers to improve the accuracy of voyage and cargo data shared from ships to shore systems.
“Timbereye uses AI to build raw material supply chains – orchestrating sourcing, transport, ocean logistics and international sales with world class technology,” said Scott Gregg, Founder and CEO at Timbereye.
“As both the beneficial cargo owner and the NVOCC, automating ocean workflows is a critical part of our business. This partnership with Coneksion will enable us to programmatically run complex documentation flows, improve customer visibility, reduce costs, and increase the efficiency of our global supply chains.”
