US President Donald Trump spoke at a police training center in Garden City, New York. In his speech, Trump mentioned the cost of living and indicated that oil prices will fall after the war with Iran comes to an end, saying, “This will happen after we complete defeating Iran. Right now, Iran is suffering a very heavy defeat. Very soon I will declare the Strait of Hormuz American territory. That is the situation. We are the ones enforcing the blockade, and no ship can pass unless we want it to,” he said.
Trump, who said he himself had re-strengthened the US military, said, “I had to use the military a little more than I wanted. But that’s okay. Because we cannot allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. We cannot allow that,” he said.
Explaining that before the Iran war the American economy was in very good shape and that while it was in such a state they decided to launch an operation against Iran “to extinguish a fire in the Middle East of a size never seen before,” Trump said, “We could not allow Iran to continue in this way. They were going to have nuclear weapons. If we had not struck them with B-2 bombers, they would have obtained nuclear weapons. That would have been very sad for both our country and the world. That is why I said, ‘We have to put out the fire in the Middle East,’ and we did it. They will never be able to have nuclear weapons. We made a large buildup,” he said.
Trump, who demanded that those who have to pay more for fuel because of the Iran war understand that this is a sacrifice they are making so that Iran does not have nuclear weapons, said, “Iran is the country that provides the most support to terrorism in the world. We don’t want them to have nuclear weapons. So remember that when you have to pay a little more,” he said. Trump said, “I will never apologize for doing this. I did the right thing.”
Trump, who argued that the US carried out the attack on Iran for the whole world, said, “We are really doing a great job. Our military is incredible and the blockade we are enforcing is impenetrable. Like a wall of steel,” he said.

Trump, who argued that the US was winning a great victory in Iran after Venezuela, said, “No one has any idea how successful we have been in Iran. The media doesn’t want to write about it, but it knows the truth. Do you know who knows how well we are doing? Iran,” he said.
Trump, who said that Iran’s entire navy had been destroyed, said, “They had a total of 159 ships. All of them are now at the bottom of the sea. They had 212 very nice aircraft, and some of them they had bought from the US during the Obama era. All of their aircraft were shot down. All of them were destroyed. They have no leaders left. Their first-tier leaders were wiped out. Their second-tier leaders were also wiped out. And half of the third tier was wiped out. That is one of my problems. There is no one left to negotiate with,” he said. Trump said, “Iran is the only country in the world that nobody wants to be president of.”
Trump, who said Iran still has missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, but that they are not many, said, “A large part of their production capacity has been destroyed.”
Reacting to reports in the US media that claim Iran is in very good shape, Trump said inflation in Iran is 350 percent and the currency has become worthless. Trump said, “These are just fake news. There is nothing to do about it.”
