On the morning of July 19th, two 680TEU container ships built by Lixin Shipbuilding successfully commenced construction with the ignition ceremony.
These vessels represent a key project in Lixin Shipbuilding’s collaboration with international partners to advance shipping cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. With an overall length of 124.40 meters, a beam of 22.80 meters, a depth of 8.40 meters, and a designed draft of 6.20 meters, they are classified by RINA. Primarily designed to carry general cargo containers, they are also capable of transporting hazardous containers.
Following the commencement of construction, Lixin Shipbuilding will fully leverage its technical expertise, strictly control craftsmanship quality, and ensure meticulous execution throughout the building process. The company will enhance project coordination, closely collaborating with shipowners, inspection agencies, and all participating units. By focusing on critical milestones, it will ensure efficient progress in construction and guarantee the high-quality completion of the project as scheduled. We are confident that these two container ships will be delivered on time, significantly improving regional logistics efficiency and becoming a new benchmark for international shipping cooperation, contributing to the Belt and Road Initiative.
