London – The UK Department for Transport announced the winners of the Clean Maritime Decarbonisation Competition, allocating over £30 million to 71 projects related to maritime sector decarbonisation. Among the beneficiaries are companies such as ABP Maersk Line UK and X-Press Feeders, involved in 15 pilot projects that received a total of £12.3 million. The winners were announced by Minister Mike Kane during a visit to the port of Clydeport in Glasgow. “We have charted a course toward climate-neutral shipping by 2050,” Kane stated, “and these £30 million will be crucial to supporting the green fuels and technologies of the future, so we can make maritime transport and trade more sustainable.
