Vopak Terquimsa completed the sale of its Barcelona terminal to Tradebe Port Services, a transaction that consolidates its commitment to optimizing its business lines.
The transferred infrastructure includes a facility with 43 tanks, access to four docks, a rail connection, and a total capacity of 210,155 m2, employing 22 professionals.
“The sale of the Barcelona terminal represents a further step in our rationalization and growth strategy. We continue to focus on growth in Tarragona, where we are promoting an ambitious expansion project that will allow us to strengthen our presence in the region, in key sectors such as chemicals and the energy transition,” stated Eduardo Sañudo, CEO of Vopak Terquimsa.
For his part, Oscar Creixell, CEO of Tradebe Port Services, stated that “this agreement represents a strategic step for both our company and the development of the port business in the region. The integration of this terminal not only expands our network of assets but also strengthens our ability to offer comprehensive logistics solutions in key markets such as the chemical and industrial sectors.”
This sale is part of Vopak Terquimsa’s optimization plan, aimed at improving its financial performance and strategic positioning.
