On August 26, the second 7000TEU container ship, H1463, built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for Thailand’s Regional Container Lines (RCL), was successfully started at the Nantong branch. Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding supervisors Nie Xiang and Chen Yehua, along with responsible persons from relevant departments and representatives from the owner’s and classification society’s site teams, jointly participated in the commencement ceremony.

The successful start of the H1463 ship this time comes less than two months after the branch commenced construction on the first sister ship of the same type for RCL, fully demonstrating the “acceleration” of the project’s advancement. Since the start of the first ship, all processes have been seamlessly connected and progressed in an orderly manner, accumulating valuable experience for the rapid commencement of this second ship. RCL has given high recognition to the branch’s professional capability and service level, and this trust has become a solid foundation for the steady progress of cooperation between the two parties.
