On July 9th, the domestically first-built residual water treatment vessel, “Taihu Light No. 5,” constructed by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Group (ZPMC) for CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd., was successfully launched. Representatives from CCCC Tianjin Dredging, ZPMC Marine Engineering, and project construction team members jointly witnessed this milestone moment.
“Taihu Light No. 5” is the first unit of ZPMC’s intelligent dredging equipment cluster for Taihu Lake remediation. The vessel measures 42.5 meters in length and 10 meters in width and can operate in coordination with ZPMC’s “Taihu Light” debris removal and regulation vessel and sludge dewatering and volume reduction vessel. Through multi-vessel collaboration on Taihu Lake’s integrated intelligent platform, it achieves a “fully offshore” model of “complete in-situ mud and water treatment.” The vessel is also equipped with a next-generation residual water treatment system, incorporating advanced membrane separation technology, biological treatment technology, and intelligent control technology, significantly raising the standard of residual water treatment. The treated water quality can meet Class III surface water standards, truly enabling the recycling of water resources.
The successful launch of “Taihu Light No. 5” marks the completion of the “Taihu Light” series. Upon delivery, the “Taihu Light” and “Taihu Star” series vessels built by ZPMC will form a robust force in China’s environmental dredging equipment, playing a pivotal role in ecological restoration and water quality improvement in lakes, inland rivers, reservoirs, and other water bodies. This contributes even greater ZPMC strength to building a beautiful China.
