The Port Authority of Castellón has put out to tender the service for the annual review and maintenance of the port’s wheel washing facilities, with an amount of 24,200 euros. The main objective of the contract is not only to maintain the equipment, but to ensure its continuous operation to protect the environment and public health, by limiting the dispersion of particles from the wheels of trucks circulating in the port. The deadline to submit bids is until Thursday, October 16.
“With the renewal and maintenance of the wheel washers, we reaffirm our commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable port. It is not only about complying with regulations, but about going further, adopting measures that protect the health of our neighbors and the environment in which we operate,” stated the president of PortCastelló, Rubén Ibáñez. It should be remembered that the installation of wheel washers is part of the 18 environmental protection measures implemented by the Port Authority of Castellón.
